Is SitterRate free?
Yes. The babysitting calculator, tips, the Rate Guide, one saved sitter and ten saved sessions are free. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase ($4.99 in the U.S.), with no subscription or trial, and works with Family Sharing.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up. Your sitters and sessions are stored on your iPhone, and the app has no analytics, ads or tracking.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 18 or later. It's available on the U.S. App Store; amounts are in U.S. dollars and the rate data is U.S.-only.
Is it the same as the calculators on this website?
The math is identical: the website runs the same rules as the app and is tested against the app's own engine. The app adds saved sitters, history, the live timer and offline use.
What happens to my records if I don't buy Pro, or get a refund?
Nothing is hidden, locked or deleted. Free limits only stop you adding new sitters or sessions beyond one sitter and ten sessions.
